One of Bluff House Inn's best-kept secrets, the Lobster Trap Trail offers a peaceful escape into Maine's natural beauty. Located on the right side of the road just past the driveway to the cabins, the trail is marked by a sign and a pair of iconic blue lobster traps. Follow the winding wooded path through the forest as glimpses of the coast begin to appear between the trees. At the end, you'll discover a secluded shoreline overlook with a picnic table, gentle ocean breezes, and breathtaking views across the water. It's the perfect place to enjoy a quiet moment, pack a picnic, or watch the sun set over the coast in complete serenity.

Acadia National Park: the quiet side

While many visitors head to Mount Desert Island and Bar Harbor to experience Acadia's most famous attractions, those staying at The Bluff House Inn enjoy something special, the Schoodic Peninsula, Acadia's quieter and less-traveled side.
